Monday, September 13th - How to Backup Your Computer This lesson will teach you how to identify what you need to back up, how to select the appropriate backup media and how to keep your backup secure. Lake Tahoe On Line offers a series of computer training classes monthly as a service to the community. If you'd like to be notified by email of upcoming classes, send an email to training-subscribe@ltol.com. Classes are free! No previous computer experience is required. The classes are hands on, interactive training sessions with all materials and computer access provided. You are welcome to bring your own camera and or laptop to class. Classes start at 6:00 pm and end no later than 8:00 pm. All classes are held at LTOL offices in Truckee. Please email support@ltol.com or call 530-582-2080 to reserve a seat. Each class has time allotted to answer student questions on any computer topic. Email us if you'd like to propose a topic for the next class. UPCOMING CLASSES Sierra College - Beginner's Guide to Computers New users—this class provides plenty of hands-on experience in a fun and relaxed environment. You will learn all the basics to use a personal computer (PC), plus the basics of Windows; explore word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and other programs. You will have ample guidance and opportunities to experiment. After completing this class, you will be prepared to attend any beginning or introductory class, including Internet and Email Basics, Introduction to Windows, and Excel.
